Court Rules &Conduct

All participants must remain respectful in court
No interrupting the judge or speaking out of turn
Evidence must be relevant and not fabricated
Judges’ decisions must be followed
Jury members must remain unbiased

Court Procedure

Case Filings

Case filings charges are submitted by law enforcement or a citizen the cases are then reviewed by judges and a hearing is scheduled. A jury is selected made up of randomly selected citizen.

Court Session

Judge opens court rules and expectations are stated by the judges/chief of justice. Opening statements are given, prosecutor speaks first, defense follows. Both sides present evidence Witnesses are questioned and cross-examined. Closing statements given - final arguments from both sides.

Deliberation & Sentencing

Jury discusses privately and decides verdict. Jury or judge delivers decision on whether the suspect is guilty / not guilty. Judge determines punishment (if guilty.
